Gary Liu is currently the Chief Executive Officer of South China Morning Post, tasked with leading the 114-year-old newspaper's digital transformation.
An recognised leader in the realm of technology, Gary was the Chief Executive Officer of New York-based Digg before arriving in Hong Kong. At Digg, he was responsible for tripling revenues and significantly increasing traffic. Prior to joining Digg, Gary was at Spotify initially as its Global Director, Ad Product Strategy and later on Head of Labs, where he was responsible for trialling new business strategies for the innovation of the popular music platform. Gary has also enjoyed stints at AOL (as Director, Sales Operations & Strategy (Local)), and Google.
He holds a BA in Economics from Harvard University.
